My husband has an annoying habit...he's a happy guy! When I want to mutter, and dwell on something someone said or did, his answer is 'it's over, get over it. You can choose to be miserable or you can choose to be happy!'
My grandmother was like that too. She said it took too much effort to be angry - it was much easier to be happy.
It's not easy to just drop a bad attitude especially when it may be justified, but it's usually the best thing to do for ourselves AND it's the biblical thing to do.
We are to be happy if we suffer for righteousness' sake (1 Peter 3:14); and we are not to harbor a grudge against someone or God will not hear our prayer (Psalm 66:18). So if we choose happiness we are better all around. Like that old song, Don't Worry, Be Happy!
Have a Happy Day!
